Questions
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
In Spain, an A1 or B license is required to operate our motorbikes. The engine power is rated at 11Kw, and it’s equivalent to a motorcycle of 125cc, thus allowing you to operate it with a B class car license. The Volta motorbike is also a perfect introductory bike for the first two years after obtaining an A2 license.
The Volta motorbikes have a maximum power of 25Kw (35Cv) which is equivalent to a gas motorbike of 250-400cc’s. On the other hand, the rated power of the bike is 11Kw, which is why you only need an A1 or B license.
What kind of maintenance does a Volta motorbike require?
Our motorbikes require only preventative maintenance and regular checks of certain parts that are always in use- such as tires, brake fluid and levers, kickstand, top box, etc. Serious maintenance may only be required after an accident, and our mechanics are available for hire.

Our motorbikes can be charged through a standard domestic outlet (220v) or at any public charging station. A complete battery charge takes only 2-3 hours depending on your motorbike’s specifications. Our bikes come standard with an integrated charger and a 2m cable with a Schuko model connector.
A full battery charge will give you about 70km* of riding with the 3kWh battery, and up to 84km* with the 4kWh model. Keep in mind that there are some factors that can significantly lower this range, such as riding style, accelerations, number of passengers, road topography, or if you are charging another device from the motorbike.
Our motorbikes are equipped with either a 3kWh or 4kWh made from Lithium-Ion Polymer battery cells. Their life cycle can outlast 2,000 full recharges, and after that it will still retain over 80% of its power.
The approximate cost of a full battery recharge is 0,45€ using the average cost per minute in Spain. This value may change depending on which country you are in.
